Many cities have a Chinatown, but New York City – home to the largest Chinese populations in the United States – has more than you can count on one hand. For a span of more than a century, New York’s Chinese communities have grown uninterruptedly from three streets in lower Manhattan to over 100 street blocks, across the boroughs of Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. No other Chinese communities outside Asia come close to this magnitude. Check out our New York City Chinatowns gallery and see how vibrant they are.
