‘DRAGONS LOVE TACOS & OTHER STORIES’ at the Borough of Manhattan Community College Tribeca Performing Arts Center (Nov. 30, 11 a.m.).

The hard-partying dragons in this musical revue must not be closely related to the members of their species in “Game of Thrones”: The creatures here just want to have fun and eat tacos — as long as they’re not too spicy. The fire breathers’ onstage introduction to salsa (the kind you eat) is based on “Dragons Love Tacos,” written by Adam Rubin and illustrated by Daniel Salmieri, one of five picture books that this TheaterWorksUSA production has turned into mini-musicals. The other works in the show are “Interrupting Chicken,” “The Dot,” “Mercy Watson Goes for a Ride” and “Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa: School Days.” The adaptations may even inspire children to love reading as much as dragons love tacos. 212-220-1460, tribecapac.org

‘THE NUTCRACKER’: THE SALZBURG MARIONETTE THEATER at Flushing Town Hall (Dec. 4, 7 p.m.).
